First Day of First Grade

Evan: You are amazing! Have a fantastic day today: make a new friend, take your time, say a kind word, ask a question, laugh a lot - in other words, be yourself! - and everyone will see the incredible person you are. Rock this first day of first grade! You got this!!

From open house the other night - meeting Mrs. Ellis, checking out our room, and completing the scavenger hunt with Kayla.

Happy First Birthday, Adam & Alexis!

What a year it's been! We are so blessed to have these two little ones in our family - they sure add a lot of activity and fun and excitement! It's been amazing seeing them grow into their personalities, and watching their big brothers revel in their new roles. Here's to many more parties!

Last Day of Kindergarten

He's forever changed - in the best ways possible! He's learned confidence, bravery, persistence, and friendship, and showed whiz-bang skills in reading and math. He's had some amazing teachers who opened whole new worlds of people and places and things for him. Kindergarten = 100% success.

Drew is FOUR!

Happy birthday to a kid who has more spunk than anyone I know - he's always moving, always happy, and knows what he wants. He makes us laugh constantly and life would be so much more boring without him. Be fantastic four this year, Drew!

A party with friends at The Park!
We played every sport we could, and had a hot, sweaty, fabulous time.

 Stomp rockets!

Show & Tell

Mondays are Show & Tell days in Mrs. Dixon's kindergarten class, and Evan decided last week he wanted to bring the twins! We asked and made a plan, and today we stopped by to show class the twins at 9 months old. Evan introduced them, described the cool things they do like crawl and babble, and talked about how he helps and is an excellent big brother, like feeding them, being an excellent helper to mommy and daddy, and playing and reading them books.

All the kids sat in a circle and the twins demonstrated their crawling skills; I was sure they'd get scared at all the new faces, but both were enraptured with the kids. The class predicted how many teeth each baby has, and identified differences they saw.

As we packed up to go, Mrs. Dixon had the kids recap what they'd learned about twins and babies. Later in the day, the class has creative writing, and all were assigned to write about the twins. Evan came home bursting with pride because, "Everyone wrote about the twins, and since they're my twins, my name is in EVERYONE'S journal!" It was a great morning, for sure!

Mommy's Day

The kids all treated me wonderfully for Mothers Day!

Drew's school had a luncheon and they made flower seed paper hearts and painted pots for us.

My garden started blooming and I got several flats of flowers to plant.

This little girl got all dressed up for mommy.

We hung out in the sun at the twins' first lacrosse game.

After a delicious grilled steak dinner, the boys and I went for ice cream.

I'm so blessed!

Random Pictures

A couple recent fun moments:

Everyone is playing so nicely together!

"Hey bro- how come you're out there??"

Wonder Woman

They've started eating real food at school and at home.

"It's ok little brother! I'll hold you until mommy gets here."

I can reach my new toy! It's my favorite.

An early interest in reading. Or at least in pulling books off the shelf.

I'll push you!!

Pretty girl :)
