My first basketball

Evan got his first basketball and hoop today. It was more fun to eat the ball than to put it in the basket, but he did manage to score a couple points. The hoop gets taller, so we'll soon be able to challenge him with more than the slam dunks.

Swing

Spring is here, and Evan is excited to play outside on his swing set. Today was his first time in the swing, and he loved it. He squealed with delight at feeling the breeze in his face. It was fun to swing alongside mommy and watch Ernie race around the yard. Here's to more good Virginia weather!

Tummy Sleeper

Evan mastered rolling over today. He's learned he can roll over when ever and where ever he wants. Today he decided to sleep on his tummy. Not only that, but he stuck his leg out of the bed too. He was able to pull it back in himself without any trouble and kept on sleeping happily all through the night.

Ernie!

Look, Evan's as tall as Ernie is! Ernie's very patient with Evan, until his whiskers get pulled. Then Ernie just walks away. Evan's favorite part of Ernie now is his tags. They are shiny and make noise - it's a great toy!

Funny!

Daddy, you're so funny. I love to laugh and squeal with you. We make lots and lots of noise together. It's so fun!

Golfing?

"Grandpa, when can I go golfing with you? I have my Masters shirt on and I watched the tournament this weekend. I'm ready!"

Happy Easter!

It's Evan's first Easter!

The Easter Bunny arrived during the night, leaving new blocks and a movie. She also left a basketful dyed eggs with all our names on them!

We got all dressed up and went to church, where Evan flirted with our pew neighbors all service. He was perfectly silent and well behaved.

After coming home, we changed into play clothes, which today was a "First Easter" shirt, a bunny hat with ears, and matching pants with bunny feet and a fuzzy tail. Evan and Mike had a good afternoon watching the Masters and we got to have a video chat with family. It's been a great day - Evan's already excited for next year, hoping the Easter Bunny might hide the eggs!

Opening Day

It's Opening Day for the Milwaukee Brewers, and they have a new fan. Evan was very excited to wear his Frankie Klement outfit to school today and tell his friends about his new team. After singing a couple rounds of the Klements Racing Sausages jingle, however, Evan took the song a little too seriously and tried to eat the hot dog off his shirt.
He's a Brewer fan like daddy, and a hot dog fan like mommy.
