Halloween 2014

Despicable Me 2: Gru, Lucy, and our 4 minions! 

ToT'ing on The Lawn and in the neighborhood + ridiculous amounts of candy + amazing costumes + great friends + scary movies outside + a very late night = more fun than these minions could handle!

Thanks to Finn's birthday (and the talents of Maureen Chapman Boisvert) and Etsy, minion hats were a breeze this year! 

Though do you know how hard it is to find a floor-length teal trench coat?? I tried to make a passable Lucy with the next best thing.

Just beginning on our journey through the UVA Lawn - and our share of a reported $20,000 worth of candy being handed out. We definitely got our share!

Then it was back home to hit the neighbors' houses, plus movies in the driveway, with lots of hot chocolate and blankets. 

It was a no-rules, all-you-can-eat, one-night-only treat party! Finally they were totally passed out in front of the fire. though they did make it until 11pm, even with all the sugar coursing through their veins!

Happy Birthday, Evan!

We celebrated Evan's 6th birthday this weekend! He had another firehouse party - totally his request - and loved every minute of it. We had a fireman relay race/obstacle course, made dalmatian magnets, and had an amazing tour of the station. Of course there were snacks and cake, and the friends to share the day with was the best part. Happy birthday, Evan!

Twins Go To School

How does 9 weeks pass so quickly?!? Today was the twins' first day of school. They had a great report card, and will no doubt be exhausted from all the activity today. One great thing about having two adored brothers go to school before you is all the love from the teachers! It was good to know so many teachers couldn't race down the hall fast enough to meet the twins; they'll be well cared for there. 

Alexis smiled for the camera! She was crying just a second before and I was trying to make her happy... I wish I could say it was something I did, but truth be told I think it was a gas bubble... A millisecond after the photo clicked, she threw up all over Adam's head and the chair. Sigh. 

Fall Nights Under the Lights

A perfect chilly Fall evening under the stadium lights!
Thank goodness for Katelin to help with the boys... the three of them are best friends and I definitely couldn't go to games and tailgates without her!

Sharing

While the twins are still small and don't protest too much snuggling with each other, we're still using our single stroller for walks and exercise. They don't seem to mind now, but we'll have to get that double stroller soon, I think.
