Happy Easter!
It's Evan's first Easter!
The Easter Bunny arrived during the night, leaving new blocks and a movie. She also left a basketful dyed eggs with all our names on them!
We got all dressed up and went to church, where Evan flirted with our pew neighbors all service. He was perfectly silent and well behaved.
After coming home, we changed into play clothes, which today was a "First Easter" shirt, a bunny hat with ears, and matching pants with bunny feet and a fuzzy tail. Evan and Mike had a good afternoon watching the Masters and we got to have a video chat with family. It's been a great day - Evan's already excited for next year, hoping the Easter Bunny might hide the eggs!

Opening Day
He's a Brewer fan like daddy, and a hot dog fan like mommy.

March Madness
It's March Madness! Evan showed his allegiance to the Badgers by wearing his shirt to school today. Mike tried to teach him to cheer "Let's Go Red" this morning; we did get a pretty convincing squeal that will hopefully develop into a better cheer as the years progress. Here's hoping for a good game!

Jumper Talk
Evan is now old enough and strong enough to play in his jumper. As you can see, he's pretty excited, and wants to tell you all about it!

There is nothing sweeter than Evan's toothless baby laugh. He gets a twinkle in his eye and his entire body shakes with happiness.
The laugh is elusive though. We've spent literally hours of video trying to capture this little miracle, but Evan's smart. He laughs and laughs, and the second the camera is turned on, the laugh is turned off. It doesn't matter who's holding the camera or if it's in his line of vision - he just knows! I taped him the other day for 5 minutes, just waiting for the laugh to return (and making funny faces galore)... nothing. The second I gave up, he giggled and giggled - like he had been holding it in all the while. What a stinker!
Persistence pays 0ff - I finally got him! Doesn't it just make you laugh out loud?
